The BMW X4 Bridges the Gap Between Sport Coupe and Crossover SUV

Sporty crossovers aren’t exactly a new concept, but the BMW X4’s seamless blend of fastback and utility vehicle is the best we’ve ever seen. In fact, BMW isn’t even calling the X4 a crossover, reserving that designation for the taller X3. Instead, the automaker has taken to referring to the X4 as Sports Activity Coupe. It’s a fitting moniker, for an automobile that can throw down a 0-60 mph run in 4.6 seconds* AND provide up to 50 cubic-feet of max cargo capacity.

The X4 is animated by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque) paired with an eight-speed shiftable automatic transmission. An 3.0-liter turbo six-cylinder “M” version is also available to boost output; sending 355 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque to all-four wheels via the BMW xDrive system

In addition to extremely quick acceleration, the X4 provides excellent stability at highway speeds, as well as confident handling and driving dynamics through the curves. With hill descent control, selectable drive modes, and eight inches of ground clearance, it’s no slouch off the beaten path either.

The X4 is a unique addition to our premium lineup of new BMW models, and we’d love the chance to show it off for you. For more information, feel free to contact us at your convenience, or come see us in person to check it out for yourself. We’ll be happy to set you up with a test drive.
